Union women’s bowling weekend recap

Louisville, Ky. – The Union College women's bowling team participated in two tournaments over the weekend.

The Bulldogs competed at the MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial in Louisville on Saturday. The Bulldogs placed 17th with a total pin count of 5252.

On Sunday, the Bulldogs competed in the MSC Thomas Burris Memorial. They totaled 5167 pins to place 17th.

 

MSC Lynne Jordan Memorial

Madelynn Napier participated in five games, and secured the 59th spot. She led the Bulldogs with a score 803 for a tournament average of 160.6.

Amber Thomason followed closely as she claimed 62nd place with a total score of 771 for a tournament average of 154.2 over five games.

Meghan Bernard secured the 68th spot with a total score of 698 for a tournament average of 139.6 through five games.

Heaven Cooper and Olivia Brock secured back-to-back positions at 71st and 72nd as they each played five games. Cooper's total score was 671 with a tournament average of 134.2, while Brock scored 646 with a tournament average of 129.2.

 

MSC Thomas Burris Memorial 

Thomason secured the highest finish of the day as she claimed the 48th spot in five games. She accumulated a total score of 785, showcasing a tournament average of 157.

Napier followed closely as she secured 52nd place with a total score of 739 and a tournament average of 147.8.

Bernard and Cooper each placed in the top-60 after five games. Bernard claimed the 54th spot with a total score of 714 for a tournament average of 142.8. Cooper closely followed at 56th with a total of 713 for a tournament average of 142.6. Brock rounded off the day placing 80th through five games with a total score of 523.
