A century and counting ...

Union College has a rich, long tradition in intercollegiate athletics, one that goes much further and deeper than the casual observer might realize. For instance, did you know that the first known athletic team first appeared on the Union campus in 1905 and it was in the form of a women's basketball team? It's true. Shortly after, football, baseball, men's basketball and tennis followed, but women's basketball was the first organized squad at Union College.
