Union women’s bowling recap from the Orange and Black Tournaments

Miamisburg, Ohio - The Union College women's bowling team participated in the Orange and Black Tournaments on Oct. 21-22. The Bulldogs placed seventh out of seven in Saturday's tourney, and 11th out of 12 on Sunday.

 

Orange and Black Tournament 1:

The Bulldogs tallied an overall score of 5,310 to finish in seventh place. Union was 70 pins shy of Lindsey Wilson, which recorded a score of 5,380. Pikeville took first place with a score of 7,066, while Midway placed second with a score of 6,526 and Notre Dame College was third with a score of 6,208.

 

Orange and Black Tournament 2:

Madelynn Napier and Laura Head led the way for the Bulldogs in total pins. Napier averaged 154.2 through five games, while Head averaged 152.8 through five games. Maya Coleman had the highest average for Union with an average of 161.5 through four games.

The Bulldogs recorded a score of 1,351 in the Baker Games for a final score of 4,828, which placed 11th. Pikeville won the tourney with a score of 6,336, while Notre Dame College was second with 6,682 and Wright State was third with 6,176.

 

Up next for the Bulldogs is the MSC Greater Nashville Open on Saturday, Oct. 28.
