Union women’s bowling recap from the Columbia 300 Western Shootout

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Union College women's bowling team competed in the Columbia 300 Western Shootout on Oct. 14-15.

Maya Coleman placed 47th with an average score of 178.3 through six games. Her high score occurred in the first game when she tallied 202, while her second highest score came in the last game when she registered 196.

Madelynn Napier tallied an average score of 145.8 through six games with a high score of 168. She recorded a score of at least 149 in three of her six games.

Amber Thomason bowled in all six games, and finished with an average score of 139.5. Her high score occurred in the last game with a score of 171. Her second highest score came in the fifth game with a score of 161. She bowled at least 144 in four of her six games.

Heaven Cooper averaged 145.8 in five games with a high score of 170, while Laura Head averaged 133 in five games with a high score of 154. Olivia Brock bowled in two games, and registered a high score of 126.

Midway won the tournament with a score of 9,328, while Calumet College of St. Joseph placed second with 9,104 and Saint Xavier placed third with a score of 9,037. Union placed 26th out of 27 with a score of 6,954.

Up next for the Bulldogs is the Orange & Black Tournament on Saturday, Oct. 21.
