Thomerson Leads Women's Cross Country to Fourth at AAC Preview

SWANNANOA, N.C. – Union College women's cross country registered a fourth-place finish at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Preview on Saturday.

The Bulldogs tallied 120 points to place fourth overall, while Milligan University (Tenn.) won the event with 30 points. NCAA Division II Lenoir-Rhyne College (N.C.) was second with 45 points, while host Montreat College (N.C.) took third with 57 points.

For the second meet in a row, Kirsten Thomerson paced Union as she crossed the line in 21:54.27 for 27th. She was 7.27 seconds off from cracking the top-seven times in program history for the 5K.

Sara Ledford and Grace Stiles were next across the line for the Bulldogs, placing 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Maya Homer finished 36th, while Anaia Singleton and Brittany Jordan placed 38th and 41st.
