Kingsport, Tenn. – On Friday, No. 6 seeded Union Commonwealth University played against No. 3 seeded Milligan in the quarterfinals of the 2024 WinWon Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Volleyball Tournament.
The Bulldogs fell short 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-20). Raquel Kessler led Union in kills with nine, while Emily Shumaker tallied seven and Katherine Acosta recorded six. Jasmine Porter totaled four kills.
Sloan Coursey led the Bulldogs in assists with 12, while Maddy McGaughey registered 11. McGaughey led all players in digs with 17, while Nicole Almestica tallied 14. Lara Gomes De Castro recorded six digs.
Berkli Benefield tallied a total of four blocks, while Kessler registered three total blocks. The Bulldogs are now 14-17 this season, while Milligan is 24-7.
