Barbourville, Ky. – On Tuesday, the Union College volleyball team fell to Johnson on Senior Night. Before the game, the Bulldogs recognized Jessica Rodrigues, Lauren Horn, Jenna Grayson, Raquel Kessler, and Michaela Cox.

Johnson jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the opening set, but the Bulldogs went on an impressive run to take 14-13 lead. The score was tied 24-24, but Johnson won the set 26-24.

In the second set, the Bulldogs tallied 10 kills compared to seven for Johnson, but the Royals won the set 25-22. Johnson registered 15 kills in the third set to win 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-18).

Raquel Kessler recorded 11 kills, which was tied for most recorded by all players. Maddy McGaughey led the Bulldogs in assists with 17.

The Bulldogs are now 11-19 (10-11 AAC) this season, while Johnson is 15-12 (9-12 AAC).
