The Bulldogs fall 3-0 at Milligan

Milligan, Tenn. – The Union College volleyball team played at Milligan on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Bulldogs fell short in three sets.

Union tallied 10 kills in the first set, but Milligan recorded 16 kills en route to a 25-15 win in the opening set.

The Bulldogs trailed 22-12 in the second set when they tallied four consecutive points, which featured two kills by Michaela Cox. Milligan won the set 25-19.

Milligan led 6-5 in the third set before outscoring Union 19-8 to win the set 25-13. Milligan won the game 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-13.)

Union senior Raquel Kessler led the team in kills with 10, while Nicole Almestica led the team in digs with 10.

The Bulldogs are now 1-9 (1-1 AAC), while Milligan is 7-4 (1-0). Up next for Union is a home game against Kentucky Christian on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 6:30 p.m.
