
Union women’s outdoor track and field recap of the the AAC Championships
Johnson City, Tenn. - The Union Commonwealth University women's outdoor track and field team recently competed at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing 10th overall with a total of 28 points.
Track Events
Erin Pease led the way for the Bulldogs with a strong showing in the heptathlon, earning second place with 4,021 points.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Abby Mabe, Sofia Petz, Jasmine Clouse, and Kaylee Hall claimed a fifth-place finish, clocking a time of 10:35.06.
In the 5000-meter run, Bella Townsend finished with a time of 47:20.17, followed closely by Melanie Partin at 47:24.24. Pease also delivered a standout performance in the 100-meter hurdles, placing third with a time of 14.84.
In the sprints, Hall ran a 13.68 in the 100 meters, while Mabe recorded a time of 2:27.14 in the 800 meters. Mabe, Hall, Townsend, and Partin closed out the meet in the 4x400-meter relay, finishing in 4:44.12.
Field Events
Pease recorded a throw of 30.04 meters in the javelin event.
