Union women’s outdoor track and field weekend recap

Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University women's outdoor track and field team recently competed at the Asbury Invitational and the Gordon Bocock Cumberlands Invitational.

Asbury Invitational

The Bulldogs tied for fifth overall with 8 team points.

Erin Pease led the way with a fourth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.30 meters. She also placed sixth in the shot put with a throw of 9.10 meters, while Jasmine Clouse recorded a mark of 5.58 meters in the same event.

Clouse added a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 22.44. In the 400-meter dash, Bella Townsend recorded a time of 1:13.29.

Kaylee Hall placed fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.31 and later ran a 32.71 in the 200-meter dash.

Abby Mabe delivered a strong performance in the 800-meter run, finishing third with a time of 2:37.16.

Gordon Bocock Cumberlands Invitational

Erin Pease claimed third place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.89, while Jasmine Clouse earned a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 21.98.

In the 800-meter run, Mabe placed sixth with a time of 2:27.93, followed by Clouse, who finished in 2:39.98.

Sofia Petz secured third place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 13:18.49. Pease also finished ninth in the shot put with a mark of 8.82 meters. 

 

Next for the Bulldogs is the AAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursdau, April 17.
