
Union women’s outdoor track and field takes 6th place at Cumberlands Early Spring Meet
Williamsburg, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University women's outdoor track and field team kicked off its season at the Cumberlands Early Spring Meet on Friday, finishing sixth out of 12 teams with a total of 31 points

In the 100-meter hurdles, Erin Pease earned third place with a time of 16.45 seconds, while Abby Mabe secured seventh in the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:36.43.
The 400-meter dash featured Sofia Petz (1:07.33), Jasmine Clouse (1:09.49), Melanie Partin (1:11.95), Bella Townsend (1:11.97), and Kaylee Hall (1:14.85).
The quartet of Clouse, Hall, Petz, and Townsend finished third in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:34.03. Additionally, three Bulldogs competed in the 200-meter dash: Malene Obermayer with a time of 29.40, Partin at 30.86, and Hall at 31.71.
Field Events
Obermayer and Pease claimed second and third place in the javelin throw, with Obermayer achieving a mark of 29.60 meters and Pease recording 27.53 meters. In the long jump, Petz posted a distance of 3.99 meters.
