
Union women’s indoor track and field competes at the AAC Championships
Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Union Commonwealth University women's indoor track and field team competed in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships, finishing ninth overall.
Day One:
Melanie Partin clocked a time of 1:10.46 in the 400m, while the relay team of Abby Mabe, Bella Townsend, Sofia Petz, and Jasmine Clouse secured a fifth-place finish in the distance medley with a time of 14:07.78.
In the high jump, Malene Obermayer claimed fourth place with a mark of 1.41m.
Day Two:
In the 60m hurdles, Erin Pease secured a fifth-place finish with a time of 9.46. The 4x800m relay team, consisting of Mabe, Petz, Clouse, and Kaylee Hall, clocked in at 11:32.79.
Pease, Townsend, Petz, and Hall teamed up for the 4x400m relay, finishing in 4:38.03.
Pease also competed in the pole vault, clearing 2.30m. In the long jump, Pease recorded a mark of 4.80m, while Obermayer posted a jump of 4.59m.
