Union women’s track and field competes in the Bellarmine Open

Louisville, Ky. - Participating in the Bellarmine Open in Louisville, Ky., on Friday; the Union College women's track and field team encountered formidable opposition from NCAA Division I schools. The Bulldogs competed against Eastern Kentucky, Louisville, Western Kentucky, Bellarmine, etc.

Erin Pease had a busy day competing in three events. She placed at No. 29 in the 60m with a time of 8.88; No. 14 in the long jump with a performance of 4.49m; and at No. 12 in the shot put with 8.41m.

Melanie Partin took on two events as she claimed 21st place in the 400m and 800m respectively. Partin recorded a time of 1:11.08 in the 400m, while registering a 3:12.77 in the 800m.

Shirley Williams competed in the 400m, and finished in 23rd place with a time of 1:18.78.

Up next for the Union College women's track and field team is the Olivet Nazarene University Invite on Friday, Jan. 26.
