No. 13 Union defeats No. 20 SCAD Atlanta
Atlanta, Ga. – The No. 13 Union Commonwealth University women's tennis team won 5-2 at No. 20 SCAD Atlanta on Monday. Union won the doubles point and four of the six singles games. The Bulldogs have won five matches in a row.
Doubles:
Liliana Drukerova and Lucy Spice (Union) defeated Begona Benjumeda and Giulia Leali 6-2.
Magdalena Skachova and Anna Nevada Loendahl Henriksen (Union) defeated Mariana Arguedas and Brissa Mendoza 7-6.
Nadia Brunzlow and Anastasija Stojanovic defeated Anastasiia Iakovlieva and Laia Garriga Oms (Union) 7-5.
Singles:
Liliana Drukerova (Union) defeated Anastasija Stojanovic 6-3, 7-5.
Begona Benjumeda defeated Magdalena Skachova (Union) 6-7, 6-1, 10-8.
Nadia Brunzlow defeated Beatriz Verdial (Union) 6-0, 6-3.
Anastasiia Iakovlieva (Union) defeated Mariana Arguedas 6-1, 6-2.
Laia Garriga Oms (Union) defeated Elizabeth Allen 6-1, 6-2.
Anna Nevada Loendahl Henriksen (Union) defeated Brissa Mendoza 6-3, 6-3.
The Bulldogs are now 14-5 (8-1 AAC) this season, while SCAD Atlanta is 7-7 (6-3 AAC). Up next for Union is the AAC Tournament.
