No. 15 Union gets the win on Senior Day 6-1 over Milligan

Barbourville, Ky. - The Union College women's tennis team defeated Milligan 6-1 on Monday. The match featured Senior Day for the Bulldogs. Maria Arteaga, a native of Cartagena, Colombia, was the only player recognized from the women's team.

Union won the doubles point 3-0, and proceeded to get five victories in singles play. The Bulldogs are on a three-match winning streak with the combined score being 19-2.

Rin Igarashi & Karen Kondo (Union) defeated Kaitlin Barrett & Camryn Rossa 7-6.

Anastasiia Iakovlieva & Maria Arteaga (Union) defeated Macy Kennedy & Kylie Enarson 6-4.

Liliana Drukerova & Nicole Viljoen (Union) defeated Tiana Shelton & Sophie Dunman 6-0.

Singles:

Karen Kondo (Union) defeated Kaitlin Barrett 6-3, 6-0.

Liliana Drukerova (Union) defeated Camryn Rossa 6-4, 6-0.

Rin Igarashi (Union) defeated Sophie Dunman 6-2, 6-2.

Kylie Enarson defeated Mai Kitashita (Union) 6-3, 3-6, 10-8.

Nicole Viljoen (Union) defeated Macy Kennedy 8-1.

Anastasiia Iakovlieva (Union) defeated Heather Graf 6-3.

The Bulldogs are now 12-1 (8-1 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 8-10 (4-5 AAC). Union has won seven matches in a row against Milligan.
