No. 15 Union wins 6-1 at Reinhardt

Waleska, Ga. - The Union College women's tennis team picked up an impressive 6-1 victory on Tuesday at Reinhardt. The matchup featured two teams toward the top of the AAC standings, but the Bulldogs won the match in a convincing fashion.

Rin Igarashi and Karen Kondo teamed for a 6-0 win in doubles play, while Liliana Drukerova and Nicole Viljoen combined for a 6-2 victory to secure the doubles point for Union.

In singles competition, the Bulldogs won five of the six matches. Kondo registered an impressive (6-0, 6-0) win; Igarashi tallied a (6-2, 6-2) victory; Drukerova won (6-1, 6-4); Anastasiia Iakovlieva recorded a (7-5, 6-2) win; and Viljoen won (4-6, 6-2, 6-4).

Union is now 10-1 (5-1 AAC) this season, while Reinhardt is 6-3 (5-2 AAC). The Bulldogs' next match is slated for Saturday, April 1, against Columbia in Barbourville, Ky.
