No. 16 Union wins 7-0 at Truett McConnell
Cleveland, Ga. - The Union College women's tennis team picked up a 7-0 victory on Wednesday at Truett McConnell.
The Bulldogs recorded a dominant performance as they only lost three games in the entire match. The victory marked Union's second straight 7-0 win as they defeated Midway 7-0 this past Sunday.
In doubles play, Rin Igarashi and Karen Kondo won 6-1; Anastasiia Iakovlieva and Nicole Viljoen recorded a 6-2 victory, while Mai Kitashita and Liliana Drukerova won 6-0.
In singles competition, Igarashi won (6-0, 6-0); Kondo won (6-0, 6-0); Drukerova won (6-0, 6-0); Iakovlieva won (6-0, 6-0); Kitashita won (6-0, 6-0); and Viljoen won (6-0, 6-0).
The Bulldogs are now 8-0 this season, while Truett McConnell is 4-4. Union's next match is against Reinhardt on Friday, March 10.
