Union women's swimming records four first-place finishes in their final meet of the regular season

Danville, Ky. – The Union College women's swimming and diving team competed in a three-team meet at Centre College on Saturday. The Bulldogs faced off against Centre and West Virginia Tech.

Notably, this marked the final meet at Boles Natatorium for Centre College. Union concluded the meet with a 125-15 victory over WV Tech, while falling short 202-61 against Centre.

The Bulldogs secured four first-place finishes along with a season best performance in the 200-yard freestyle relay and an NAIA "B" cut in the 200-yard freestyle.

Leading the charge, Emma Phillips placed first in two events as she won the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard breaststroke.

Lise Puissant and Dorottya Jozsa clinched the final two first-place finishes in respective events. Puissant achieved her first NAIA "B" cut of the season in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.57.

Puissant, Jozsa, Ceci Gimenez, and Phillips achieved a season best in the 200-yard freestyle relay as they finished with a time of 1:43.87.

Up next for Union is the AAC Championships on Wednesday, Feb. 7.
