Union women’s swimming recap from meets against Transylvania, Campbellsville, and Lindsey Wilson

Barbourville, Ky -  The Union College women's swimming and diving team competed against Transylvania on Oct. 3. The Bulldogs competed against Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson on Oct. 4.

Against Transylvania:

In the first event of the day, the Women's 400 Yard Medley Relay, the Bulldogs placed first. These swimmers included Dorottya Jozsa, Emma Phillips, Ceci Gimenez and Erin Pease. Their total time was 4:20.66.

In the fifth event of the day, the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle, Jozsa placed first with a seed time of 1:59.66 and a final time of 1:58.75.

In the ninth event of the day, the Women's 400 Yard IM, Phillips placed first with a final time of 4:50.07.

In the 15th event of the day, the Women's 100 Yard Freestyle, Jozsa placed first with a final time of 55.63.

In the 19th event of the day, the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle, Gimenez with a final time of 5:40.07.

In the 24th event of the day, the Women's 100 Yard Breaststroke, Phillips placed first with a final time of 1:09.17.

Against Campbellsville and Lindsey Wilson:

In the ninth event, the Women's 200 Meter IM, Phillips placed first with a total time of 2:31.08.

In the 11th event, the Women's 100 Meter Fly, Jozsa placed first with a total time of 1:09.51.

In the 17th event, the Women's 400 Meter Freestyle, Jozsa with a total time of 4:46.73.

The Bulldogs defeated Campbellsville 96-32, but fell to Lindsey Wilson 129-55. To view the full results, click here.
