Weekend recap for Union women’s swimming

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College women's and diving team competed against Asbury on Oct. 27 and Shawnee State on Oct. 28. The Bulldogs fell short in each matchup.

 

Against Asbury:

The Bulldogs' Ceci Gimenez tied for first in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 27.08. Gimenez also won the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 57.55.

Dorottya Jozsa placed first in the 200 Yard IM with a final time of 2:14.99. Jozsa also placed first in the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:19.72.

Union's Emma Phillips won the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 2:18.27. Phillips also placed first in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:30.46. The Bulldogs placed second out of three in the 400 Yard Freestyle relay with a final time of 3:50.49.

Against Shawnee State:

Jozsa placed first with a final time of 2:13.60 in the Women's 200 SC Meter Freestyle. Jozsa also won the 100 SC Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:01.52.

Phillips won first place in the Women's 100 SC Meter Breaststroke with a final time of 1:17.11. Gimenez placed first in the 400 SC Meter Freestyle with a final time of 4:55.14.
