UCU’s Chiara Isanto earns her fourth AAC Defensive Player of the Week honor

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's Chiara Isanto has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the second week in a row.

This is Isanto's fourth AAC Player of the Week honor this season. She recorded 13 saves last week, with a season-high 11 saves against Tennessee Wesleyan, and earned another shutout. 

UCU split their games, going 1-1 with a win over CIU. They scored two goals and allowed just one. The Bulldogs now have two regular-season games remaining.

Next for UCU is a home conference match against Milligan on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 5:00 p.m.
