Barbourville, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team competed against CIU on Saturday morning. The Bulldogs defeated the Rams 2-0.
On Senior Day, Miranda Cardona led the Bulldogs with two goals, her season best. She raised her season total to four. Estrella Guerrero had the game's only assist.
UCU had 16 shots, six on target, while the Rams managed four shots, with two on goal. Chiara Isanto earned the shutout with two saves.
The Bulldogs advanced to 6-5-3 (5-5-1 AAC) on the season, while CIU fell to 6-6 (6-5 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference match against Milligan on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at 5:00 p.m.
