UCU's Chiara Isanto secures her third AAC Player of the Week accolade

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's Chiara Isanto has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.

Isanto made 18 saves over two games, setting a season-high with nine saves in each. She notched a shutout and a perfect 1.000 save percentage against Bryan. Isanto currently ranks in the top five in the AAC for save percentage, holding a .782.

UCU finished last week 1-0-1, securing a win against Bryan and a draw with Pikeville. The Bulldogs netted four goals while allowing two.

The Bulldogs are 5-4-3 (4-4-1 AAC) this season. Next for UCU is a home conference match on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 5:00 p.m.
