Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team played against Johnson on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell short 1-0.
Johnson's Lexi Hatch scored the only goal in the final minutes of the match. UCU had eight shots with six on goal, while Johnson had 11 and five on goal.
The Bulldogs goalkeeper Chiara Isanto made four saves, and the Bulldogs tallied four corner kicks to Johnson's two.
The Bulldogs are now 3-2-1 (2-2 AAC) this season, while Johnson is 3-1-3 (2-1-1 AAC). Next for Union is an away conference match against No. 21 Truett-McConnell on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 2:00 p.m.
