Union women’s soccer wins 3-0 over St. Andrews

Laurinburg, N.C. - The Union Commonwealth University women's soccer team secured a 3-0 win against St. Andrews on Saturday.

Alberta Yirenkyi, Rosalinda Sanchez, and Miranda Cardona each scored a goal. Yirenkyi now leads the team with four goals, tying her for fourth in the AAC. 

Estrella Guerrero had an assist, and Chiara Isanto made one save. UCU took 16 shots with 11 on goal, while St. Andrews managed just one shot on goal.

The Bulldogs advanced to 3-1-1 (2-1 AAC) on the season, while St. Andrews fell to 0-5 (0-2 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference match against Johnson on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 5:00 p.m.
