Union’s Chiara Isanto named AAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

Barbourville, Ky. – Union Commonwealth University's Chiara Isanto has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.

Isanto tallied five saves through two games, while allowing just one goal. UCU went 2-0 on the week with wins over Alice Lloyd and Midway. The Bulldogs' victories were by a combined score of 18-1.

The Bulldogs are 2-0-1 this season. Up next for UCU is a home match on Saturday, Sept. 7, at 3:00 p.m.
