Union women's soccer falls short at Pikeville

Pikeville, Ky. – The Union College women's soccer team fell short 5-1 at Pikeville on Saturday.

In the 11th minute, Pikeville's Julia Pinson scored the first goal of the game. Pikeville's Brekel Tibbs had the last goal of the first half, which occurred during the 35th minute.

Pikeville's Kylie Ritter scored her first goal of the game during the 53rd minute. Tibbs followed with her second goal of the matchup, which occurred in the 64th minute.

Yardley Polson scored Union's first goal of the game during the 83rd minute. Pikeville's Kiera Bailey followed up with the final goal of the matchup.

Union goalie Chiara Isanto had nine saves, which brings her season total to 90. Isanto ranks fourth in the conference for saves, while ranking fourth in save percentage at .789%.

The Bulldogs are now 3-10 (3-7 AAC) this season, while Pikeville is 5-7-2 (4-4-2 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game on Wednesday, Oct. 18, against Tennessee Wesleyan at 1:00 p.m.
