Women’s soccer falls short against Bryan

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College women's soccer team fell short 2-0 against Bryan on Wednesday night.

In the 24th minute, Bryan's Bree Ooten scored the first goal of the game off an assist by Ruth Fish. The score remained the same going into the second half. In the 61st minute, Bryan's Hannah Miller scored the Lady Lions' second goal of the matchup, which was also assisted by Fish.

Chiara Isanto recorded nine saves, which gives her 81 saves this season. Isanto is now tied for fourth in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) for saves.

The Bulldogs are now 3-9 (3-6 AAC) this season, while Bryan is 6-6-1 (5-4-1 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game on Saturday, Oct. 14, against Pikeville at 11:00 a.m.
