Barbourville, Ky. - The Union College women's soccer team has won two games in a row. Following a 1-0 victory at Bluefield on Sept. 13, the Bulldogs picked up a 1-0 win over St. Andrews on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The first half was played in the pouring rain and a local power outage. At halftime, the matchup remained scoreless.
Union took the lead at the midway point of the second half when Ana Velasco scored an unassisted goal. The Bulldogs went on to win the game 1-0. Union goalie Chiara Isanto recorded three saves.
The Bulldogs are now 2-3 (2-1 AAC) this season, while St. Andrews is 0-3 (0-2 AAC). Up next for Union is a matchup at Johnson (Tenn.) on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
