Bluefield, Va. – The Union College women's soccer team picked up its first win of the 2023 regular season in Wednesday's victory at Bluefield.

The matchup marked the Bulldogs' first road conference game of the season. The match also featured a weather delay.

With less than 14 minutes remaining in the second half, Union took a 1-0 lead when Yardley Polson scored an unassisted goal.

The Bulldogs held that lead throughout the remainder of the matchup to secure the 1-0 victory. Union goalie Chiara Isanto tallied four saves in the win.

Union is now 1-3 (1-1 AAC), while Bluefield is 0-4-1 (0-2 AAC). The Bulldogs' next game is slated for Saturday, Sept. 16, with a home conference game against St. Andrews.
