
Union women’s bowling gets fifth place at Hammer Saints Classic
Newport, Ky. - The Union College women's bowling team competed in the Hammer Saints Classic this past weekend.
Despite starting the competition in sixth place on Saturday; they surged ahead to secure their highest finish of the season. The Bulldogs secured fifth place with a total pinfall of 5870.
Leading the charge was Madelynn Napier, who secured the 17th spot. She competed in all four games to amass an individual total of 653 pins with a tournament average of 163.25 and a game-high of 180.
Following closely behind, Heaven Cooper earned the 21st spot with a tournament average of 157.25. Cooper secured a total pinfall of 629 and a game-high of 175.
Amber Thomason, Meghan Bernard, and Olivia Brock also delivered noteworthy performances across their four games.
Thomason secured the 25th spot with 564 pins for a tournament average of 141. Thomason's game-high was 159. Bernard closely trailed in 27th place with 554 pins and a game-high of 156 for a tournament average of 138.5
Brock secured the 31st spot with 453 pins; a tournament average of 113.25 and a game-high of 136.
