Barbourville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team won 78-62 in a home game against KCU on Tuesday.
Madison Brady led all scorers with 30 points, which is the second most by a Bulldog this season. She also registered 12 rebounds and three blocks, which were each tied for the most by any Bulldog in the matchup. Brady was 11-of-17 from the floor.
Gracie Jervis tallied 15 points, five assists, a game-leading four steals, and three blocks. Rachel Smith registered 14 points, four rebounds, five assists, and three steals.
Ja'Naia Moran and McKenzi Himes each tallied eight points. Moran registered a game-leading eight assists, which is the second most by a Bulldog this season. Himes totaled 12 rebounds and four assists. Claire Belcher also scored for UCU.
The Bulldogs are now 10-17 (9-12 AAC) this season, while KCU is 7-20 (5-15 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home game against Johnson on Senior Day. The matchup is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2:00 p.m.
