Pikeville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team played at Pikeville on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell short 89-53. Union won the rebounding battle 40-31.
Madison Brady led all players in scoring with 24 points. Rachel Smith tallied seven points to go with a game-leading eight assists. Her eight assists are the second most by a Bulldog this season.
Ja'Naia Moran, Gracie Jervis, and Natalie Johnson each registered six points. McKenzi Himes scored four points.
Smith, Brady, and Lindsey Pirkle each tallied five rebounds, which was tied for the most by any Bulldog in the matchup. Smith and Jervis were each tied for the most steals by a Bulldog in the matchup with two.
Union is now 8-17 (7-12 AAC) this season, while Pikeville is 15-7 (14-4 AAC). Up next for UCU is a road conference game against Montreat on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 5:00 p.m.
