UCU comes up short at Tennessee Wesleyan

Athens, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team fell short 65-47 at Tennessee Wesleyan on Thursday.

UCU's Madison Brady registered 22 points and 12 rebounds, which led all players in each category. McKenzi Himes contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Emrey Glover tallied eight points for the Bulldogs.

Claire Belcher, Rachel Smith, and Ja'Naia Moran also scored for UCU. Smith tallied a team-leading three steals in the matchup, while registering a game-leading four assists. Union won the rebounding battle 34-31.

The Bulldogs are now 3-12 (2-7 AAC) this season, while Tennessee Wesleyan is 7-6 (5-4 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home conference game against Montreat on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 2:00 p.m.
