UCU WBB comes up short against Milligan

Milligan, Tenn. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team played at Milligan on Wednesday. The Bulldogs fell short 85-58.

UCU's Madison Brady registered a team-leading 19 points to go with 10 rebounds, which was tied for the most rebounds by any player in the matchup.

In addition to having the three highest rebounding performances for UCU this season, Brady now has the fourth slot on that list as well following tonight's game. She also totaled a game-leading two blocks.

Union's second leading scorer was reserve Emrey Glover, who tallied 11 points. Gracie Jervis recorded 10 points and a team-leading four assists.

Ja'Naia Moran registered six points, while McKenzi Himes and Claire Belcher each totaled four points. Rachel Smith and Lindsey Pirkle also scored for the Bulldogs. Smith, Brady, and Glover each registered a team-leading two steals.

The Bulldogs are now 2-8 (1-4 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 5-5 (4-2 AAC). Up next for UCU is a home conference game against Reinhardt on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 12:00 p.m.
