Conway, S.C. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team played against NCAA Division I opponent Coastal Carolina on Friday night. The Bulldogs fell short 105-43.
Lindsey Pirkle led Union in scoring with 12 points. Pirkle also had eight rebounds, which was the most by any Bulldog. Madison Brady tallied seven rebounds. Rachel Smith tallied eight points and six rebounds.
Emrey Glover recorded seven points, while Brady and Harper Coffey each totaled four points. Ja'Naia Moran, McKenzi Himes, Mylaiysha Norman, and Sarah Smith each had two points. Himes led UCU in assists with three.
The Bulldogs are now 2-2 this season, while Coastal Carolina is 4-0. Up next for UCU is a road conference game against St. Andrews on Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 5:30 p.m.
