UCU falls short at No. 4 Campbellsville

Campbellsville, Ky. – The Union Commonwealth University women's basketball team played at No. 4 Campbellsville on Friday night. The Bulldogs fell short 86-52.

UCU was led in scoring by McKenzi Himes, who scored 12 points off 5-of-7 shooting. Himes tallied three blocks, which led all players.

Madison Brady and Lindsey Pirkle each registered seven points. Pirkle tallied a team-leading six rebounds to go with two blocks.

Rachel Smith and Mylaiysha Norman each tallied six points, while Natalie Johnson and Rayna Duzant combined to total nine points. Ja'Naia Moran and Gracie Jervis also scored for UCU.

Claire Belcher, Sarah Smith, and Harper Coffey also played for Union. Of the 12 players that entered the game for the Bulldogs, they each recorded at least 10 minutes of playing time. Himes led the team in minutes with 23.

The Bulldogs are now 0-1 this season, while Campbellsville is 1-0. Up next for UCU is a home game against Indiana University Columbus on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 2:00 p.m.
