The Bulldogs defeat Truett McConnell 66-61

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College women's basketball team defeated Truett McConnell 66-61 on Saturday. The Bulldogs outscored Truett McConnell 25-13 in the third quarter.

Rachel Smith registered 20 points and seven assists, which led all players in each category. Madison Brady scored 16 points, while leading all players with eight rebounds.

Ja'Naia Moran tallied 13 points, while going 5-of-7 from the floor. McKenzi Himes was one of four Bulldogs to score in double figures with 10 points. Madison Cox, Claire Belcher, and Morgan Blakley also scored for Union.

The Bulldogs are now 7-18 (7-12 ACC) this season, while Truett McConnell is 9-15 (8-10 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game against Columbia on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 5:30 p.m.
