The Bulldogs fall against Johnson

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College women's basketball team hosted Johnson on Wednesday. The Bulldogs trailed by as little as five points in the third quarter, but fell short 94-73.

McKenzi Himes led Union in scoring with 18 points to go along with eight rebounds. Himes' nine made field goals is tied for the most by a Bulldog this season. Before the game, a special presentation was held to recognize Himes for recently entering Union's 1,000-point club.

Madison Brady tallied 16 points and five rebounds in 15 minutes of play. Rachel Smith recorded 14 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.

Madison Cox totaled nine points, while Ja'Naia Moran recorded seven and Ciara Uphoff tallied six. Morgan Blakley also scored for the Bulldogs.

Union is now 4-18 (4-12 AAC) this season, while Johnson is 12-9 (10-5). Up next for the Bulldogs is a road conference game on Saturday, Feb. 3, at 2:00 p.m. against CIU.
