Union defeats St. Andrews 86-83

Barbourville, Ky. – The Union College women's basketball team picked up an 86-83 victory over St. Andrews on Saturday. The Bulldogs led by as many as 10 points in the fourth quarter. Union has won three of its past four home games.

St. Andrews had the matchup's final possession with an opportunity to tie the score, but the Bulldogs prevented the Knights from scoring.

Madison Brady led Union in scoring with 24 points to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Brady was 8-of-12 from the floor, while going 8-of-10 at the free-throw line. Her 24 points is the most by a Bulldog in one game this season.

McKenzi Himes recorded a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds. She was 8-of-13 from the floor. Rachel Smith registered 15 points and five assists, while going 4-of-11 from 3-point range.

Mylaiysha Norman registered seven points, 10 assists, and three steals. Her 10 assists are the most by a Bulldog this season. Ja'Naia Moran recorded eight points, while Morgan Blakley and Madison Cox each tallied six.

The Bulldogs are now 4-17 (4-11 AAC) this season, while St. Andrews is 5-13 (4-13 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference game against Johnson on Wednesday, Jan. 31.
