Union comes up short against Pikeville

Pikeville, Ky. – The Union College women's basketball team played at Pikeville on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs began the game with an 8-3 run, but fell short 104-55.

McKenzi Himes led the Bulldogs in scoring for the fifth time this season as she recorded 16 points. Morgan Blakley tallied 10 points and a team-leading eight rebounds.

Ja'Naia Moran, Rachel Smith, and Mylaiysha Norman combined to record 23 points. Claire Belcher and Madison Cox also scored for Union. Belcher registered seven rebounds, which was the second most by any Bulldog in the matchup.

Union is now 2-16 (2-10 AAC) this season, while Pikeville is 13-5 (9-3 AAC). Up next for Union is a home conference game against Bluefield on Saturday, Jan. 13, at 2:00 p.m.
