The Bulldogs come up short at Reinhardt

Waleska, Ga. – The Union College women's basketball team had a tough task on Saturday with a matchup at undefeated Reinhardt. The Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 39-30 in the second half, but Reinhardt won the game 86-58.

Union's Madison Brady recorded 18 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes. It marks the ninth time this season that's she led the team in scoring, while also being the tenth time the sophomore has led the team in rebounding.

McKenzi Himes also scored in double figures for the Bulldogs as she registered 17 points and eight rebounds. Himes was 8-of-13 from the floor.

Rachel Smith, Ciara Uphoff, Ja'Naia Moran, Madison Cox, Claire Belcher, Natalie Johnson, and Morgan Blakley also scored for the Bulldogs. Union won the rebounding battle 37-35, while also registering 18 assists compared to 17 for the Eagles.

The Bulldogs are now 2-15 (2-9 AAC) this season, while Reinhardt is 14-0 (10-0 AAC). Up next for Union is a road conference game against Pikeville on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 5:30 p.m.
