The Bulldogs fall against No. 15 Cumberlands

Williamsburg, Ky. – The Union College women's basketball team played at No. 15 Cumberlands on Thursday, Dec. 28. It marked the Bulldogs' first game since facing Lincoln Memorial on Dec. 13.

Rachel Smith led Union in scoring with 14 points, while going 3-of-8 from 3-point range. The Bulldogs' Madison Brady registered the matchup's lone double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Smith and Brady were the only Bulldogs to score in double digits, while seven other Bulldogs also scored. The Bulldogs recorded 34 bench points, which is the third most Union has recorded this season. Cumberlands won the matchup 104-50.

The Bulldogs are now 1-13 this season, while Cumberlands is 10-4. Up next for Union is a home conference game against Montreat on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 5:30 p.m.
