The Bulldogs come up short at Milligan

Milligan, Tenn. – The Union College women's basketball team fell short 73-53 at Milligan on Tuesday, Nov. 21, in a conference matchup.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 6-1 lead, but Milligan led 16-7 after the opening quarter. Six players scored for Union in the second quarter as the Bulldogs registered 18 points. Milligan led 40-25 at halftime en route to the 20-point win.

Madison Brady led Union in scoring with 17 points, while McKenzi Himes recorded 13 points. Ja'Naia Moran was one of three Bulldogs to score in double figures as she registered 10 points.

Madison Cox tallied six points, while Natalie Johnson, Haley Brock, and Claire Belcher also scored for Union. Belcher was the team's leading rebounder with six.

The Bulldogs are now 0-7 (0-5 AAC) this season, while Milligan is 7-1 (5-0 AAC). Up next for Union is The Show in Kingsport, Tenn., later this week. The Bulldogs play against No. 21 Georgetown on Nov. 24, while facing No. 1 Campbellsville on Nov. 25.
