Women’s basketball falls short at Johnson

Knoxville, Tenn. – The Union College women's basketball team played at Johnson on Saturday, Nov. 11, in a conference matchup.

Eight different players scored for Union. McKenzi Himes led the Bulldogs in scoring with 11 points, while Ciara Uphoff and Madison Brady each recorded six points.

Ja'Naia Moran, Morgan Blakley, Madison Cox, Kyrston Nichols, and Emily Whitson were the others to score for the Bulldogs.

Himes and Moran each tallied a game-leading eight rebounds, while Brady recorded seven and Whitson registered six. Cox led the Bulldogs in assists with four, while Uphoff led Union in steals with three. Union fell short 103-38.

The Bulldogs are now 0-4 (0-2 AAC) this season, while Johnson is 3-3 (1-1 AAC). Up next for Union is a conference matchup at Montreat on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 5:30 p.m.
