Union’s Cole and Lowe each named to All-AAC Second Team

Barbourville, Ky. – On Tuesday, the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) released its 2024 Softball All-AAC Team and Awards.

For Union Commonwealth University, Leea Cole and Sarah Lowe were each named All-AAC Second-Team.

Following Union's game against Columbia on Wednesday, Cole has recorded a .322 batting average with 37 hits and seven RBIs. Defensively, Cole has pitched a team-leading 98.2 innings with a team-leading ERA of 4.54. Cole has registered a team-leading 38 strikeouts, while allowing 64 earned runs.

Lowe has registered a .411 batting average, while recording 51 hits, 40 RBIs, 36 runs scored, 11 home runs, 11 doubles, and four triples. She leads the team in each of those statistics. Her 11 homers on the season is a school record. Defensively, Lowe has tallied 56 putouts and just one error.
