Union men’s cross country recap from the Midway University Invitational

Versailles, Ky. - The Union Commonwealth University men's cross country team competed in the Midway University Invitational on Friday.

The Bulldogs competed against the University of Kentucky and several NAIA schools.

Men's 8K Run

Jackson Crume led the Bulldogs with an 11th-place finish, clocking in at 28:25.86. Connor Partin followed closely, securing 25th place with a time of 30:27.29. 

Alex Garcia took 30th with a time of 31:27.80, while Zabrey Bortz finished right behind in 32nd place at 31:51.11. 

Tyler Payne and Torrean Thornton crossed the line in back-to-back fashion, placing 38th and 39th with times of 32:57.79 and 32:57.96, respectively. 

Tim Freeman finished 43rd with a time of 35:33.09.

Men's 8000 Meters

Union secured a fifth-place finish with a total of 126 points

Up next for the Bulldogs is the Maryville College Invitational on Friday, Sept. 27.
