2023 Union cross country preview

Barbourville, Ky. – The regular season begins on Friday, Sept. 1, for the Union College cross country program as the Bulldogs open the season in the Queen City Invitational. Union head coach Chris Jelks is looking forward to the season.

"I'm feeling very good about it," head coach Chris Jelks said. "We have a good group of young men who we've brought on board who are very serious about the sport."

The team has been working hard during the offseason in preparation for this fall.

"They've been putting in the mileage," Jelks said. "Some have been averaging up to 45, 50 miles a week."
