Union men’s track & field recap from Rick Erdmann Twilight

Richmond, Ky. - ​​On Saturday, the Union Commonwealth University men's track and field team competed in the Rick Erdmann Twilight meet. The Bulldogs faced off against talented competition, which included NCAA Division I programs. 

Payton Ellison placed second in the high jump with a mark of 1.94m. Garomme Hanna participated in two events. His top finish came in the javelin throw where he placed third with a season-best mark of 52.76m, which breaks Union's school record.

The previous record was 49.58m, which was set by Marekus Smith in 2010. Additionally, Hanna placed fifth in the 100m with a time of 11.28.

Preston Frost earned a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles by clocking in at 57.82. Jordan Ateeb secured a second-place finish by recording a mark of 14.13m in the triple jump.

Mark Prewitt finished 12th in the javelin throw with a mark of 38.29m, while Gianna Loska competed in the 5000m and placed 21st with a time of 17:08.39.
