Union men’s track and field recap from AAC Championships  

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Union College men's track and field team competed in the AAC Championships held on Thursday and Friday. The Bulldogs secured a 10th-place finish.

Leading the charge for the Bulldogs was Payton Ellison, who secured a first-place finish in the high jump with a height of 1.96m 

Chandler Mills continued the momentum by clinching third place in the 3000m race walk as he crossed the finish line in 17:14.52. With that performance, Mills broke Union's school record for the second time this season.

Alex Garcia secured seventh place in the 600m with a time of 1:27.69. Preston Frost followed closely with a time of 1:29.38.

In the shot put event, Bronson Bates claimed sixth place with a throw spanning 12.92m. Joey Holloway and Luca Gipson each finished in 16th and 17th with marks of 9.93m and 9.01m respectively.

The Bulldogs also competed in the 4x800 meter relay. Conner Partin, Frost, Garcia, and Thomas combined forces to secure a fourth-place finish with a time of 8:57.90.

Garcia secured 17th place in the 400m with a time of 53.18, while Thomas finished 23rd in the 200m with a time of 23.71.
